We are …
The Sawtooth Society was established as a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization in 1997. It was founded on the mission to preserve, protect, and enhance the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. The Society works with the U.S. Forest Service and other community partners to maintain and improve the Sawtooth National Recreation Area’s (SNRA) trails, campgrounds, and other recreational facilities, while also promoting environmental education and stewardship. Ongoing collaboration between environmental and recreation groups, state and local government agencies, private businesses, and individual property owners, is critical in order for the organization to be successful.
