As 2019 winds to a close, I decided I’d better dig in to this website and fess up about our online presence. Yikes!  Scary stuff. Old blogs, bad links and last years info.   Have no fear…we are on the trail to a glorious new online presence.  In the meantime, here is at least an updated blog entry.  A very small token of appreciation for YOU.

Writing to you now, for the first time as the Executive Director of the Sawtooth Society, is a distinct honor. Being engaged in protecting the rare gem that is the Sawtooth National Recreation Area is an incredible opportunity. The Society’s mission — to provide unparalleled protection for the natural resources we love — is all made possible through your generosity.

A question for you: when the mountains are calling and you crave being outdoors, where do you go? If you are like most in our community, you head out into the Sawtooth National Recreation Area.

Why?

Because you know you will experience not only the unique beauty of the Sawtooth, White Cloud, and Boulder mountains but also the rustic vistas and amazing wildlife of the Sawtooth Valley.

As donors and volunteers, your contributions help to protect and preserve these incredible resources of the Sawtooth NRA as wild land for generations to come. We are so grateful to you for helping to support the committed team of Society staff and volunteers who cleared 133 miles of Sawtooth NRA trails in 2019. You helped volunteers and staff provide over 1,775 hours of labor. Your support ensures the next generation of young stewards and protectors understand why public lands are even worth protecting and preserving.

Thank you so much for your help throughout 2019 as donors and volunteers. We appreciate you all.
